WALK: Borrowdale, Belt Howe, Jeffrey Mount, Roundthwaite, Low Green Holme, Midwath Stead, Bretherdale, Red Crag, Hause Foot, Hucks Bridge

GRADE/MILES ETC: Moderate ascents and descents  12 – 13 miles, with ascent of 3,720 feet. boggy in parts.

START POINT: parking space at side of road in sight of Hucks Bridge, on A6 about 6 miles north of Kendal  NY 552 038

WALK: Coledale Horseshoe, - Grisedale Pike, Hopegill Head, Sand Hill (much shorter option would then descend valley to return to Braithwaite). Crag Hill, Sail (shorter option would then descend to Braithwaite via Outerside).  Causey Pike, Little Braithwaite return to parking area

As it will be a lovely summer's day I am also proposing to have a meal after the walk at the Swinside Hotel if anyone is interested.

GRADE/MILES ETC: Hard (Full option -  Hard, 10 miles (16k) 1350m ascent, shorter option not quite so hard, 8 miles (13k)  1125m ascent, much shorter option - medium, 7 miles (11k) 1000m ascent)

START POINT: Parking area west of Braithwaite just off road to Whinlatter NY 225 241.  Limited parking so need to share where possible

There will be two courses - 1 for complete beginners and one for those who want something a little more challenging.  It is not necessary that you run - but you will need to navigate using a map and compass between different control points.  This can be done either on an individual basis or in pairs.  We will run it along the lines of an Orienteering Event but it is intended to be a fun evening.

GRADE/MILES ETC: Moderate / Hard, 10 miles, 3,513 feet Ascent.  It is not that steep but some marshy, off piste, and physically tiring
